The work party on Feb. 8th was the 1st one of the year, organized by the joint effort of WSTF Tevis organization,and WSER Endurance run with about 25 folks showing up to help. Together, we have made a huge impact on keeping the trails safe, clear and available year 'round.
With the huge amounts of rain we've been experiencing, we will have an unusual amount of trees to clear, wash outs to re-build, berries/shrubs to cut back and general trail maintenance. Watch the website for dates. It's fun, productive, you meet new people,you can learn more about the trail and strategies for the Ride, and even some Tall Tales from the past.

Sunday, March 8, 2009 -- Pointed Rocks to Auburn Overlook (WS Historic Trail)
The Quarry Road Section up to Pointed Rocks was cut back and major erosion control was put in play. Paige Harper Spring was sealed up and a French drain was put in place. Also the lower 49 crossing to No Hands bridge had some dirt moved and some trees cleared. A big thank you. . . we had a very large turn out. Also another big thank you to Matt L. and Jaci for great chow and to Joe McCladdie for pro photo coverage.
A lot of work was accomplished.
